Go Groups: Session Eight
Go Places : Entrepreneurs love learning
Philip Harding
Session overview
Philip welcomes the everyone to an exciting phase of this journey where you are testing, focusing and building a realistic prototype. The goal is to learn as much as possible in the short amount of time with the least amount of effort by running multiple sprints during this phase.
Philip encourages everyone not to give up and focus on learning, avoiding toxic charity practices while adding value. He shares stories about Moses, Peter, and the children of Israel to illustrate that going through these cycles can feel hectic, but it's important to have a disciplined approach, collect data, capture stories, and observe those being served. Finally, failure should be viewed as an opportunity for learning rather than something negative.
Philip reflects on the birth of the church and encourages listeners to reflect on their own journey. They discuss the entrepreneurial skills needed for success, emphasizing preparation and testing before execution. The concept of going lean is introduced, with a reminder to be faithful over small things in order to be entrusted with greater responsibilities. The session concludes with an encouragement to keep loving people and changing lives.
