Go Groups: Session Three
You : For such a time to go
Philip Harding
Session overview
Philip welcomes the group and encourages them to reflect on their purpose and calling, as well as receive feedback to build a strong foundation. He uses an image of a mountain with ups and downs to illustrate that challenges are opportunities for growth. Philip then unpacks two parables from Matthew 25 about being good stewards of what we have been given, encouraging the group to make the most of every day in order to live out God's purpose through their lives. The goal is not just to reach this point but continue up the mountain towards greater heights.
Philip encourages participants to not stop halfway up the mountain and to refine their big hairy audacious purpose (BHAP) statement. They should consider who they are serving, what problem they want to solve and why it is important to them personally. The beauty of entrepreneurship is that it allows individuals to live out their purpose every day. In the next session, the focus will be on refining the "who" in your BHAP statement and getting empathetic with those you serve.
