Go Groups: Session Five
Love People. Let’s get empathetic.
Philip Harding
Session overview
In this session, Philip discusses Matthew 25 and how it relates to the importance of focusing on others and their needs. Jesus tells a story about separating sheep from goats based on how they served others.
The key takeaway is to love, listen, learn and observe those around us in order to understand their problems better than anyone else. It's important to fall in love with the problem we are trying to solve rather than our own solution.
The framework for understanding these needs is modeled after Jesus' example of empathy and service towards others.

Reflect on the parable of the sheep and the goats as well as the importance of understanding and empathizing with the needs of others
Notes:
This module focuses on loving and serving others, specifically based on Matthew 25.
Jesus tells the story of the sheep and the goats, where the righteous are those who cared for others did it to Him and the cursed are those who did not.
To love and serve others, we must listen, observe, and empathize with their needs and problems.
We should focus on understanding the problem before trying to provide solutions.
Fall in love with the problem, not the solution.
Keep loving people.
