Go Groups: Session One
It Starts with You
Philip Harding
Session one overview
In this video, Philip discusses the importance of doing more with what we have been given and starting something that changes lives. It starts with you. He talks about Moses and Peter's journey to reflect on our own personal journeys and how they have prepared us for our purpose.
Philip introduces a circle format as a simplified version of the hero's journey to represent our own journey, including the challenges and transformations we face. He encourages reflection on both good and painful experiences as potential resources to help others.
He also challenges us to reflect on readings from Psalms 90 and 1 Peter 4, emphasizing perseverance through fiery trials. Philip concludes by encouraging everyone to take time reflecting on their own journey and seeking feedback from others in order to connect with their passion, purpose, and calling.
